In occasione dell’anniversario dello studio abbiamo realizzato un installazione di rettangoli neri, che riportano le misura di tutti i lavori fatti in questi quindici anni, ma riprodotti in scala 1:5.
Mario Piazza ha scritto un testo di presentazione del progetto.

“Un muro di rettangoli neri. Regolari, diversi, codificati.
Sono la memoria di jekyll & hyde. Il loro viaggio è iniziato quindici anni fa. A Milano. Queste sono le black box di tutti i loro lavori. Contengono la registrazione completa dei dati prodotti dallo studio. Formati, caratteri, colori, materiali. Invenzioni, schemi, dialoghi, emozioni. Gioie, fatiche, conquiste, sconfitte. Sogni, denaro, traguardi, relazioni.

Le black box di jekyll & hyde sono piatte come certi hard disk. Sono un nastro fluttuante che prende possesso dello spazio. Nascondono con severità e distacco quel rimescolio di possibilità grafiche esercitate da jekyll & hyde. La loro presenza è salda. Vogliono svelare qualcosa di importante, da cercare in punti ellittici e da strane angolazioni. Qualcosa che è stato trascurato dal pensiero più ordinario.In quindici anni hanno resistito a pressioni e a temperature molto elevate. Ma integra è la potenza visionaria di jekyll & hyde. Altri mondi sono ancora possibili.”

Mario Piazza wrote a presentation text of the project.

“A wall of black rectangles. Regular, different, codified.
They are jekyll & hyde memories. They journey started 15years ago. In Milan. These are the black boxes of all of their works. They hold the complete registration of of the data produced by the firm. Formats, scripts, colours, materials. Ideas, schemes, dialogues, emotions. Joys, strains, achievements, defeats. Dreams, money, goals, relationships.

jekyll & hyde black boxes are flat like some hard disks. They are a fluctuating ribbon that come into possession of the space: they hide with strictness and distance that reshuffle of graphic possibilities practiced by jekyll & hyde.
Their presence is firm. They want to reveal something important. They want to reveal something important to be searched in elliptic point and from strange perspectives. Something that has been neglected by the more ordinary thought. In 15 years they resisted to very high pressures and temperatures. But the visionary power of jekyll & hyde is still intact. Other worlds are still possible.”

L’editore spagnolo Index Book ha selezionato tre nostri lavori nel volume Basic Promo che contiene progetti di materiale promozionale sviluppati da designer di tutto il mondo.

The Spanish publisher Index Book has selected three our project in Basic Promo, a book containing different promotional works and strategies developed by designers from around the world.

L’editore spagnolo Index Book ha selezionato il nostro progetto True Stories nel volume Selected B – graphic design from Europe, che raccoglie una selezione dei progetti di graphic design più interessanti realizzati in Europa nel 2010.

The Spanish publisher Index Book has selected and included our project True Stories in Selected B – graphic design from Europe, a book containing some of the most interesting graphic design initiatives in Europe in 2010.

L’identità visiva che abbiamo realizzato per la mostra True Stories, organizzata dalla Scuola Politecnica di Design, è tra le vincitrice del premio The Creativity + Commerce. Il premio è organizzato dalla rivista americana Print che ha selezionato 26 progetti internazionali, tra quelli che hanno saputo unire meglio esigenze di business e creatività all’interno dello stesso progetto.

The visual identity we realized for the expo True Stories, organized by the Scuola Politecnica di design is among the winners of the award The Creativity + Commerce. The award is organized by the American magazine Print which has selected 26 international projects, among those that have been capable of merging business needs and creativity in the same project.
