We have been awarded the first place in the category Signs and Exhibition with our project The Next Supper. The exhibition organized from the school SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design, took place in Milan during Salone del Mobile 2015.

The exhibition Oggetto Libro, organized by Susanna Vallebona, shows the comparison between book design and artist’s book. The jury, composed by members from Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense, Mediateca Santa Teresa and from Aiap, selected 40 design books among 200 proposals. Between this selection there’s also our book see nothing volume due, which has been exhibited and published on the prestigious exhibition’s catalogue.

The wayfinding project we realized for SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design is selected for the Typographic Awards 2014 by the International Society of Typographic Designer and it’s prized with a Certificate of Excellence in the Exhibition Design/Signage Systems.

We are invited to represent Perriand’s work in a poster for the exhibition Il segno del moderno, a tribute to Charlotte Perriand, edited by RovaiWeber design. This work takes place in Le Murate di Firenze, with other posters made by 11 italian designers.

After Milan and Madrid (2007), Istanbul (2010), Pechino e Nantou (2010), Bilbao, San Francisco and Santiago del Cile (2013), the exhibition Il nuovo design italiano managed by La Triennale di Milano Design Museum with the supervision of Silvana Annicchiarico, arrives in Cape Town during the Cape Town World Design Capital 2014. The exhibition shows the works of 133 Italian designers (including 20 graphic designer) which represent the state of contemporary italian design. We are glad to be part of this world tour with our projects.

The Swiss editor Braun dedicates a double spread inside the publication Graphic Design x100. The book brings together a collection of designers and illustrators who present their work as well as designing the double page which features them. The result is a book full of extremely variable and surprising compositions.

In Art of package and structure, the Chinese editor Art Power collect a wide selection of creative packaging from all over the world, including our design for bikeribbon. For each pack displayed, not only is the graphical aspect presented, but also all the paper solutions that were used are presented in detail.

We take part in the Contemporary Italian Social and Cultural Communication Design exhibition (Trento), as part of the Piccolo Festival dell’Arte, with two of our designs on display there. The exhibition assembles a selection of posters designed by the most famous and innovative Italian graphic designers, and aims to focus on the social and cultural commitment aspect and visual communication.

During Design Shanghai 2013, Triennale Design Museum presents Italy: The New Aesthetic Design, a reconnaissance of contemporary Italian design of the new millennium. Some of our designs are exhibited, including the merchandising produced in recent years for Elio e le Storie Tese.

Brand! VOL.5 – Creation and Design Process is a book of over 500 pages, published by ooogo Publishing. The book is a collection of the most important international brand identity designs from the last few years, from which our designs were also selected for TAF.

Triennale Design Museum presents an expanded and updated to 2013 version of the exhibition The New Italian Design: a survey on contemporary Italian design, a path analysis, enhancement and promotion of the new Italian creativity. The exhibition presents works by 132 designers, including some album covers that we realized in recent years for Elio e le Storie Tese.

The Art Directors Club Italiano award us a bronze in the editorial design category for the SPD brochure.

We are invited by Polyedra to attend Italian design is coming home. To Switzerland. This project involves 22 Italian and Swiss design firms that should work in couples in order to celebrate the present the past and the future of the close cooperation between Italian and Swiss designers with a poster. The results of this project are published in a book distributed by the Swiss publisher ActarBirkauserD.

The award is organized by the American magazine Print which has selected 26 international projects, among those that have been capable of merging business needs and creativity in the same project.

We are invited by Carmi e Ubertis to attend to boxing design, encounter/clash between culture and innovation organized by Dalia Gallico during the IF Innovation Festival.

The publisher of Dopress Book publishes one of our projects in the volume In effect. The book presents a selection of innovative uses of materials and prting processes, through a selection of international works.

Our project see nothing calendar is published in the book Wheel of Time: calendar design. The book focuses on the topic of the calendar design with a selection of more than 160 pieces by designers and agencies from all over the world.

In April, an exhibition entitled The Hand of the Graphic Designer open to the public. It is promoted by FAI – Italy’s National Trust. The original idea is by Francesca Serrazanetti and Matteo Schubert, who coordinate the initiative with scientific supervision from Pietro Corraini. We are among the 108 prominent contemporary graphic designers from all over the world who donated sketches to the campaign. All of the drawings are meant to be auctioned off or sold directly, and the proceeds will be used to help pay for maintenance work at Villa Necchi Campiglio and the restoration of a number of old books from Masino Castle’s historical library.

Our project for MUST magazine is included in the Design and Design Book of the Year 3. It features 730 graphic design and product design projects that have been selected by the website designanddesign.com throughout 2010 from the work by designers from more than 160 countries all over the world.

Viction:ary publishes our see nothing calendar design in its book Save The Date – New Ideas and Approaches in Calendar Design, which contains work by 86 international designers.

Two of our projects are shiwn at The Best of Contemporary Italian Social and Cultural Graphic Design exhibition. Organised by Cristina Chiappini and Sasha Sankova, the exhibition takes part in the official programme for the Year of Russian Culture and Language in Italy and the Year of Italian Culture and Language in Russia – 2011, summoned by the Italian and Russian Ministries of Culture. The designs on display, created by 36 selected Italian designers and studios, intend to mirror the contemporary visual language of Italy.

Spanish publishers Index Book releases Mid-Fi, a book documenting the recent changes in several graphic designers’ perceptions of the computer: it is no longer the only tool we use, but one of many. Mid-Fi is an exploration into this approach, where modern technology is combined with the most traditional of techniques, bringing together the best of both worlds: Low-Fi and Hi-Fi. Our mandala project is published in this book too.

We take part in the Italian Poster Rock Art exhibition which take place in May at the Villa Pacchiani Multipurpose Cultural Centre in Santa Croce sull’Arno, in the province of Pisa, with a number of designs created by our studio for the band Elio e Le Storie Tese over the last few years.

Chinese publishers Dopress Book publishes one of our projects in the book No One Missing! Play Fonts which brings together a number of meaningful and creative examples of how letters are used in contemporary graphic design.

Chinese publishers Dopress Book publishes two of our designs in the book Colour Party – Colours in Brand Corporate Identity. The book contains a collection of works from 50 designers chosen from all over the world. Its theme is colour, which is considered to be one of the most effective tools for creating a brand’s visual identity.

150_150_150 is an exhibition organised by Mario Piazza to celebrate the anniversary of the unification of Italy. 150 graphic designers were asked to design an image with the number 150 as its theme. The end result, which also included our own design, was a huge exhibition which became a collective reflexion of images representing what our country is today, conveying both its good and bad qualities.

Spanish publishers Monsa publishes Branding Logos. The book offers a selection of international projects, presenting their initial concepts shown through sketches right up to the end result. Our designs for altreforme and bikeribbon are also selected to be included in the book.

The Art Directors Club Italiano awards us a bronze in the below the line category for our New Year wishes project. For this self-promotion scheme, we recorded the phrase “buonduemiladieci” (“Happy New Year 2010”) and produced a visual depiction of the sound spectrum. We then manually screen printed it on sheets of transparent material to create posters symbolizing the diffusion of the sound through the air. 200 posters were produced altogether and each one was unique. A stamp with “buonduemiladieci” written phonetically was added to give them a finishing touch.

The Spanish publisher Monsa releases the book PROMO! – an international, high-impact collection of promotional materials: from corporate images to sales catalogues, from invitations to posters. No fewer than 14 of our projects from recent years are selected and included in the book.

The American publisher Rockport releases Brand Identity Essentials, 100 Principles for Designing Logos and Building Brands. It uses international examples to outline the basic principles for putting together successful brand identities. The brand that we designed for altreforme is included in the book.

Four of our projects are published by Choi’s gallery in its Editorial Design book, which contains an international selection of designs for books, magazines and brochures.

The Chinese publisher Page One releases Fashion Graphic, a book containing a selection of particularly well designed and innovative promotional materials (such as invitations, look books, advertisements and packaging) realized by more than 100 fashion brands. It contains our entire project for RH Milano.

A number of our projects in the field of self-promotion are included in volume 16, issue 4 (August/September) of the IdN international design and creativity magazine. 25 international designers are selected to represent the best of this kind of production, which is one of the most important aspects of our work; through it we are able to experiment with and demonstrate our approach to the profession.

In June, the French graphics, design, image and creativity magazine étapes releases a special edition on Italian graphic design, edited by Silvia Sfligiotti. Our studio is one of those selected in a series of projects to represent the contemporary Italian scene.

Three of our projects are shortlisted for the Graphic Design category of the Italian Art Directors Club awards. They are included in the 2009 Italian Art Directors Club annual and can be seen online on the association’s website.

the japanese publisher pie books includes our project for altreforme in its book identity designs. the volume contains a complete, coordinated collection of projects from all over the world. they have been selected as the best representatives of visual identities applied to and designed for the various media channels.

we realize the cover page of ddn free n. 5, the design magazine distributed by design diffusion edizioni, where an interview with our studio is published. The cover is an image teaser of the mandala project used to illustrate this article. All individual elements used to actually build the mandala were vectorial redesigned and overlapped one another, with different shades of gray, exactly the opposite of the way they look in reality.

the page one publishing house selects and publishes some projects in spark – inspirational design. the volume gathers together 60 studies selected across the world that have stood out in recent years due to their innovative qualities, exploring new forms and means of communication.

our book see nothing volume due was selected from aiap (associazione italiana per la progettazione visiva) to partecipate in the aiap community contest which is open to graphics and designers and wants to identify the best italian communicaiton projects.
among the other 50 participants our work was presented in aosta during the association’s annual congress.

the show “alba. nuovi manifesti italiani” opened in firenze during the festival della creatività, is produced by socialdesignzine with intellectual and financial sponsorship from aiap and regione toscana. by presenting over a hundred posters created in italy after the year 2000, the show aims to recognise the current status of the poster art. some of our projects are displayed with the works of other 42 graphics selected as being among the most representative in the national scene.

a project that we produced for the scuola politecnica di design di milano was selected as a finalist in the flyer category of the european design awards 2007.
the contest aims to reward graphic projects, illustrations, and multimedia productions, and is judged by representatives of the 12 best european sector magazines.

pecha-kucha night was born in tokyo in 2003, as design-themed evening. artists, architects and graphic designers are invited to present to the audience their creations and ideas by displaying 20 slides for 20 seconds each.
to celebrate the first pecha-kucha evening in milan, hosted by the triennale bovisa we were invited to talk about our projects, with internationally renowned designers and architects such as patricia urquiola and astrid piber by un-studio.

four of our projects are selected and displayed at the 22nd international biennale of graphic design 2006 in brno, among the world’s most qualified graphic art, event where projects, opinions and trends meet and compare.

the italian publisher red publishing selects the best of past years italian-designed brands and logotypes for its logomania-italian signs catalogue.

our self-promotional brochure (designed in 2005) is selected by happy books, an italian publisher, to be in the brochure parade.

in its series of design books, the italian editor lupetti published a volume named free graphics – la grafica fuori delle regole nell’era digitale by dario russo.
the designers featured in the book, presented their projects using digital technologies that develop high-communication languages and symbols. two of our original fonts are published in the book.

american magazine print selected and published two of our works in its special edition “the best of european graphic design” (may-june issue). the projects are: the catalogue we designed for minotti italia trading and our moving announcement poster/card.

on the occasion of the 13th international design competition, the gloss catalogue that we created for minotti italia trading is awarded for merit and published in the american graphic design magazine how (april number). the project has been selected amongst the 4500 entries from all over the world, alongside 232 other works.

the january/february issue (number 355) of the international graphic design magazine lineagrafica publishes an article entitled “the effective communication” about our studio and our latest works. it says:
“any design project needs to vary according to the communication objectives. creativity and design knowledge are both involved in this process. effective communication involves experimenting with new visual languages while adhering to design principles.
[…] jekyll & hyde is a graphic design studio that always works with this idea in mind. their creativity and their ability to adapt communication to their clients’ needs should never be taken for granted. […]”

the volume worldwide identity – inspired design from 40 countries is published by rockport in collaboration with icograda (international council of graphic design association).
three of our brand identity projects are included in the book: the pop band lollipop, photographer antonio maniscalco, and music editions hukapan.

the poster that we designed in 2004 inform clients of our new address, was exhibited at the second international design biennale organised by hanyang university (corea) and promoted by icograda (international council of graphic design association).
the project was also included in the biennale’s catalogue.

the brand identity project designed for asus italy is published in aiap community 0.1 (aiap editions).
the volume includes projects by 50 italian graphic designers chosen amongst aiap associates. the works have been presented during the annual associates meeting in 2003.

the open-air display posterama is organised on streets of brussels during the europalia biennial festival of arts and culture. between mid-september and late october 2003 more than 800 italian posters designed for several cultural events had been bill-boarded by the streets of the town.
our studio participated by designing a poster for the contemporary art shows americas remixed and salon de refusés.

the poster we developed for americas remixed exhibition was published in the online gallery of icograda (international council of graphic design associations).

two of our projects are selected by the osservatorio permanente sul design and published in the 2002 adi design index, a showcase volume of the best italian graphic designs of 2001.
the selected works are: the communication campaign designed for the on & on cultural event, and a series of cd designs created for the pop bands lollipop and sottotono.

on the occasion of the atypi (association typografique internationale) conference held in rome, aiap organised an exhibition called italic 1.0 – il disegno di caratteri contemporaneo in italia. three of our font designs are selected and showed in the exhibition along with the works of 25 italian type designers. the event’s catalogue is edited by aiap edizioni.

the city of milan organizes an international pitch for the brand identity design of la fabbrica del vapore. la fabbrica will become the meeting point for young milanese artists. our project is awarded for merit and shown in the exhibition organized for the opening.

albachiara and the association of illustrators organize illustracinema, a design contest for giuseppe piccioni and silvio soldini’s new movie posters. our project is selected and is featured in the exhibition at the anteo spaziocinema in milan.

the european design annual publishes a multimedia cd that we designed for the editor mcgraw hill.
the work is selected amongst 3000 entries alongside 400 other projects from 24 countries.
we also recieved the certificate of design excellent for multimedia design.
